Susie K. Twyman is the oldest of six children to the late Earnest and Ethel B. Carter Kinnebrew.   She was married to Willie Paul Twyman for thirty six year before his death, and from this union two wonderful children were born, a daughter Rhonda, and a son Christopher.  She has a sweet and gorgeous daughter-in-law, Tashia.  She has two lovely granddaughters, Jazlyn and Christa, and a wonderful grandson, Myles.

Rev. Twyman attended Floyd County and Rome City Schools, graduating from Main High School.  She is also a graduate of Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Professional Registered Nurse; from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree; from University of West Georgia with a Master of Public Administration.  She is also a graduate of Ministry International Institute Bible College receiving a Doctorate of Ministry.

She retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital with thirty-four years of service, but continued as an Administrative Consultant for another five years.  She was a part-time Clinical Instructor and Guest Lecturer at Floyd College Nursing Department (now Georgia Highland College)  for eight years.

Rev. Twyman is a member of Holsey Sinai Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she served faithfully since childhood, before her appointment as Pastor of New Victory Ministries C.M.E. Church in 2006.  She served at  Holsey on the Usher Board, Director of Christian Board of Education, Missionary Society, Chancel Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Leader, Women’s Ministry President, Worship Leader, Exhorter, Stewardess Board, Senior Choir, and Associate Minister.  She is a licensed Preacher, and was ordained Elder at the 2008 CME Annual Conference.  She served as Pastor of New Victory Ministries Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for eight years, from August, 2006 until July, 2014.  She is now Founding Pastor Emeritus.

Rev. Twyman has served on several civic and community organizations through the years, too many to name.  She is currently serving on the Floyd County Board of Health as Secretary, on the Board of Floyd Training Center, on The Northwest Georgia Authority, serves as a Volunteer for The Harbin Clinic Heart Center, a member of The N.A.A.C.P., and is a member of The National Conclave of Grady Graduate Nurses, Inc. and The Atlanta Chapter.

Susie loves The Lord, and her motto is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens Me.”
