WIN & AARP GA Workshop

February 7, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Fraud Prevention/Social Isolation Workshop

On February 7, 2019, we will be offering a workshop co-sponsored with the Georgia chapter of AARP on fraud prevention. We will also be discussing social isolation and loneliness and the effect of technology to both enhance independence and communication as well as the downside of decreased human interaction. We have terrific speakers from AARP, the NW Georgia Department of Public Health and Georgia Tech. More details to come. Mark your calendars now!

Social connections are now considered good medicine.  Too much time alone is now recognized as a health risk as serious as smoking!  Come learn about our modern world, how to prevent fraud & dating scams, the difference between being alone and lonely, and the role of technology in causing or solving isolation issues.
